CTE and MSDE Launch Public Web SiteMSDE released a press release to Maryland's special education directors and early intervention directors today announcing the launch of their public website that will display SPP data. This website was a collaborative effort between CTE, MSDE, NoInc, and Datalab. CTE’s Fun and GamesCTE was recently featured in two JHU publications for its existing and emerging technology. Its Electronic Learning Community (ELC) and Digital Portfolio (DP) are being utilized by an online MBA program that SPSBE will be launching in the fall. Participants will be using the ELC to interact with faculty and one another as they engage in seven team-based and two individual projects. The DP will be used to track their growth as they progress through the program. The SPSBE magazine professional also featured CTE in its “headliners” section. The emerging technology team at CTE is in the beginning stages of developing educational video games for use in the classroom. A “Stars Schools” grant was awarded to CTE and Maryland Public Television to develop games to enhance math instruction, reading comprehension, and vocabulary skills.
