Project Manager/Instructor for Online Communications

The Center for Technology in Education (CTE), a partnership of the JHU School of Professional Studies in Business and Education’s Graduate Division of Education and the Maryland State Department of Education, invites candidates for the position of Project Manager for Online Communications.  This position manages and deploys the implementation of online communication systems to deliver online courses and professional development and offer extended opportunities for collaboration through online communities of practice. 

This position works jointly with the School’s Division of Public Safety Leadership (DPSL) to use a full complement of instructional design strategies with CTE’s state-of-the-art digital tool suite to foster teaching and learning opportunities in fully online and blended environments for educators and public safety professionals. Responsibilities include managing plans for deploying communication systems, producing customized training materials to support the online efforts/communication systems, managing internal and external marketing of CTE and DPSL’s online communication systems and  ensuring the continued improvement ofthe systems and CTE’s digital tool suite.

Position requirements include Bachelor’s degree, 3 plus years experience in educational technologies or communications, demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and online course development and delivery and experience in online and/or print design.  Master’s degree is strongly preferred. The preferred candidate will have a history of successful collaboration, excellent written and oral communication skills, a commitment to learning new strategies and technologies for improving communication in the areas of course delivery and community of practice collaboration.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
