School Safety Web-based Curriculum for Six Target Audiences

CTE is collaborating with the JHU Division of Public Safety Leadership to identify the essential content and components of a strategic and comprehensive school safety curriculum and then build an integrated, online learning management system to address the needs and interests of 6 target audiences: teachers, administrators, parents, students, police, school-based police, and concerned citizens. This system is being designed to promote community building and online learning, and will make use of several of CTE’s innovative software applications, including the Electronic Learning Community (ELC) and a course builder application based on CTE’s Online Learning Model, that leads instructors and instructional designers through a step-by-step process to design and develop online learning modules, tutorials, and courses. Once the curriculum has been developed and the online learning system has been developed and launched, CTE will focus on training and dissemination to promote the use of the system.
