Special Education Leadership Academy (SELA)

CTE supports the MSDE DSE/EIS in offering SELA, a program designed to identify and train potential leaders in the field of special education currently employed by local school systems, and to support each individual as s/he prepares for a potential administrative role. Participants have the option, upon acceptance by JHU, to apply their SELA work toward an 18-credit graduate certificate in administration and supervision. CTE is responsible for building and delivering the online graduate coursework for the SELA program, for facilitating and maintaining the SELA online learning community, and for program evaluation.
