What model of leadership can a school community put to work to support the practice of democratic principles to make school learning environments safe?

Schools are places where children come to learn about the world, learn about life, and prepare one day to take their places to carry on the vision of America. The mission of this tutorial is to create a safe learning environment to facilitate that learning. A safe learning environment is one that includes emotional, intellectual, and physical safety. It should be the highest priority of educators in a democratic society. It is our belief that a democratic-based learning environment is necessary to ensure that all children are truly safe to learn.
