John Dentico, Ed. D. is the creator of the Reality Based Leadership© development system of learning. Reality Based Leadership© is founded on the principle that the implementation of leadership must be intended, deliberate, focused and effective because everyday people are faced with serious issues that demand serious solutions. LeadSimm© was specifically cited by the US Department of Justice’s COPS Office as one of America ’s best leadership development programs.

LeadSimm©, PlanSimm© and LiveSimm© were used to foster greater collaboration and develop an effective and cohesive community based leadership capacity and to modify most every protocol and procedure for the City of San Jose East Side Union High School District’s school safety response plan.

Currently, Dr. Dentico conducts homeland defense and counter terrorism simulations for the FBI Academy’s LEEDS Program. Dr. Dentico also supports the Johns Hopkins University Division of Public Safety Leadership’s Federal Transit Administration grant and the National Institute of Justice’s National Web Based School Safety grant. Under these grants, Dr. Dentico is evaluating, writing, and developing model counter-terrorism courses and strategies for transit police and emergency responders for America’s mass transit systems and writing curricula for the Web Based National School Safety grant.
