Keys to Writing a Successful Grant Proposal Tutorial

School Safety Net Logo This tutorial is provided by

The grant-writing environment has changed dramatically over the past 20 years.   What does it take to not only write and manage a superior proposal, but also to convince a funding authority that your proposal stands above other submissions? The purpose of this curriculum is to offer perspective, ideas, and techniques that a grant writing organization can use to develop and enhance their grant writing proposals.

Topics covered include:

•  Collaboration and Leadership
•  Grant Analysis
•  Proposal Development

This tutorial makes use of a real grant solicitation as the basis for its examples and stand-alone learning objects.   The example proposal is the National Institute of Justice's March 2003 solicitation: "Broadening Our Understanding of Violence Against Women from Diverse Communities."
