Roles an Officer Plays in a School:

As a Mediator

All schools have experienced the problem of social cliques. While they are divided in to different types of groups depending on the school, this is a universal problem. Many conflicts arise between different groups. While some may only be between individuals, many are between larger groups. The authority that you already have established as a police officer provides you with a unique position to mediate these conflicts. Effective mediation is a time saving strategy. The time spent mediating what may seem to be a small conflict can help prevent further problems both in and out of school.
