Teacher Compass Tutorial

Getting Started

Accessible both linearly and non-linearly, this is a flexible tutorial.

It is designed to introduce a range of learners to TeacherCompass and to be a quick reference tool. How you decide to move through this tutorial is up to you and is best informed by your needs. If you are interested in getting a comprehensive look at TeacherCompass, experiencing the tutorial linearly will likely be your best approach. However, if you are already familiar with portal technology (and/or have prior experience with TeacherCompass), but have specific functionality questions, non-linear navigation may be most suitable.

To move through the tutorial linearly:
You will use the navigation buttons on the left side of the screen. A navigation trail appears at the top of each section containing multiple pages so you can easily track your virtual location.

To move through the tutorial non-linearly:
You will use the navigation bar submenu. To use the navigation bar submenu, scroll over the navigation bar and pay attention to the submenu pop-ups attached to each button. When you find the section you seek, click the corresponding submenu title to access more information.
