How to Disable Mozilla Firefox and Netscape Pop-Up Blocking

Identify and disable Pop-up Blocking wherever found. Remember that there are often many Pop-Up Blocking software running simultaneously. It is also very likely that you did not knowingly install or activate them.The screenshots below can help you identify Pop-Up Blockers on your PC.
Once you have successfully identified and disabled a Pop-Up Blocker, click the RETEST button on the Pop-Up Blocker Detected Page. If the "Welcome" screen appears, you have disabled all Pop-Up Blockers. If the "Pop-Up Blocker Detected!" page reappears, then you have more Pop-Up Blockers to identify and disable.

With the release of Mozilla Firefox, Pop-Up Blocking is now directly integrated into the browser. Note that by default Pop-Up blocking is Enabled.

To disable click the Options button in the information bar at the top of your browser window. Then click Allow popups for cte.jhu.edu in the drop-down. Next click the RETEST button on the Pop-Up Blocker Detected Page. If the "Welcome" screen appears, you have disabled all Pop-Up Blocakers. If the "Pop-Up Blocker Detected!" page reappears, then you have more Pop-Up Blockers to identify and disable.
With the release of Netscape 8 Pop-Up Blocking is now directly integrated into the browser. Note that by default Pop-Up blocking is Enabled. When you visit a web site in Netscape the Pop-up icon on the Toolbar let's you know your popup status. See the green circle below to locate the Pop-up icon.

When a site is visited and a Pop-up is blocked the Pop-Up icon appears for a few seconds as an exclamation.

When the exclamation disappears, the Pop-ups Blocked icon (a window with a diagonal slash through itself) appears. This means that Pop-up Blocking is enabled for the web site currently being displayed. Click the icon once to disable pop-up blocking for cte.jhu.edu.

When the Site Control Info window appears (see below) click OK.

The Pop-ups Enabled icon (an open window) should now be displayed in the toolbar.

Next click the RETEST button on the Pop-Up Blocker Detected Page. If the "Welcome" screen appears, you have disabled all Pop-Up Blocakers. If the "Pop-Up Blocker Detected!" page reappears, then you have more Pop-Up Blockers to identify and disable.
