Technology Integration & Online Support Plan

The Graduate Division of education and the Department of Teacher Preparation, in conjunction with our Center for Technology in Education, have implemented a comprehensive plan to increase the M.A.T. student's access to technology skills and online resources. The following are examples of the technology supports that are availabe to you to improve teaching and learning in the classroom:

Technology Integration Plan

We have been working with our faculty to identify specific technology objectives that will be systematically integrated into the program. These technology objectives will ensure that M.A.T. students will leave our program with the skills necessary to successfully use technology as a resource for teaching and learning.

The Technovations Lab

Through grants and partnerships, JHU has established the Technovations Lab at the Columbia Center. Located in Room 322, the Lab is a location where you can preview over 1 million dollars worth of educational software, use scanners and document cameras, edit videotapes, develop you electronic portfolio, and come for technical assistance as you prepare PowerPoint presentations or use new technologies. The grand opening of the Lab is scheduled for Ocotber 4, 2000 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
