lessons modeling technology integration

Expository reading and writing

Numeric literacy in the context of reading and writing

The research process as it pertains to reading and writing.

 Developing an Action Research Project

Participating teachers from Montgomery County,  Prince Georges County , and Baltimore County  were trained in the principles of Action Research.  They received a stipend, as their work took place outside of the workday.  Teachers developed an action research question and infused the treatment throughout their lessons whenever the opportunity arose.  They collected appropriate student samples for data and analysis and submitted a lesson plan, using the MTC lesson plan template.

Gallery Walk

Through the Action Research projects, teachers explored how technology can influence students' motivation, skill development, organization of ideas and higher  order thinking.

Participating teachers presented their research findings at a Gallery Walk celebration.
