Reflect on Your Progress Regularly

Just like an unexamined life is not worth living, an unexamined course is not worth taking. Check and balance your team, your course and yourself by reflecting regularly while your class is in progress.

  • Team check: Take the regular team assessment exercises seriously. If your team is not functioning efficiently, it is in your best interest to swiftly identify and address what needs to be improved.

  • Course check: Make sure you are effectively managing your workload and are finding the course content to be as valuable as you expected. Consider your facilitator and how well they are guiding and supporting your journey.

  • Self check: Keep your "map" handy and refer to it periodically. This will help you stay on target for meeting your original course goals.

  • Reflecting is only half of the exercise. The other half is taking the initiative to contact your supports and making the adjustments necessary to ensure that you reach your course goals. Remember, it is CTE's intention that your online learning experience be both valuable and exceptional. Together we can make it so.
