Are You a Feeler?

Some characteristics of Feelers: In online courses, you should look for: The online course that is right for you:
  • Place a high value on human interaction
  • Enjoy the stimulation of contact
  • Can understand people easily
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to others' needs and wants, and can note discrepancy between outward behavior and inner feelings
  • Have the ability to sort out complex, emotional problems and situations; are insightful
  • Can be seen as being more concerned with the process of interaction than with the content that the interaction is focused on
  • High-performance virtual teaming activities
  • A high level of interaction with instructor and course participants
  • Courses focused on content that is of great interest to you with engaging learning activities
  • A performance-based, learner-centered approach
  • Higher-level discussion
  • Courses focused on building a sense of community
  • Consistent feedback from the facilitator

Due to your ability to read between the lines, to assess the climate of a group, and to predict the way others may respond or react to a change or action, a fully facilitated course is the one that is right for you. In team activities, your ability to work effectively with others will contribute to the success of your team.

You will thrive in an online course that is highly interactive, engaging, and collaborative.
