Are You a Intuitor?

Some characteristics of Intuitors: In online courses, you should look for: The online course that is right for you:
  • Place a high value on ideas, innovation, concepts, theory, and long-range thinking
  • Have an uncanny ability to anticipate
  • See the value of continuous probing and re-examination
  • Are often seen as leaders
  • Have the ability to see relationships among things that many others do not understand
  • Are inclined to look at the world from the broadest perspective
  • Excel in imaginative tasks
  • Usually resent feeling hemmed in by requirements to think or operate in a structured, well-defined manner
  • Extended online discussion
  • A learner-centered approach to instruction
  • An open-ended final product
  • Ongoing reflection
  • Research-based activities
  • Structured teaming activities with clear roles and operating standards
  • Content and activities that build on one another

As an Intuitor, you tend to be personally rewarded by intellectual problem-solving efforts rather than in implementing solutions. Self-paced courses would provide you the ability to engage in the course content and provide the flexibility and time needed to create more in-depth products.

In a fully facilitated course, you would value being able to participate in an extended discussion that promotes higher-level thinking. Because of your ability to be imaginative, you will be a catalyst for the thinking of those around you in team activities.
