The United States continues to grow into an increasingly more culturally pluralistic society. It is important for more and more students to grow up in the United States with a second language and knowledge of different cultures in order to become educated and accepting as more people immigrate from all over the world to continue to diversify our nation. This TechTour allows students to investigate similarities and differences of four nations of Central and South America. Students are asked to gather basic information about the country in teams and then are asked to gather cultural information on each nation as individuals. Student-generated products include concept maps, brochure pages, and as a team, a brochure.
