My Grandma, Superwoman
Written by: Jonathan

In this biography you will step in the life of the warmhearted woman named Mary Keller. To me she is better known as Grandma. My grandma was born on February 14, 1935 on a quiet road in Baltimore. This newborn’s full name was Mary Louise Baum. Eighteen years later she married Henry Keller. Then she had 4 wonderful children. One is my mom, and the other 3 are my aunts. As time went by she had 3 job occupations. Now she has 11 grandchildren, and still lives in Maryland. This superwoman enjoys spending time with her fantastic grandkids. Another thing she loves is art. My grandma uses oil paints to create elaborate masterpieces. If you read on you will find out more about this wonderful woman, and her life.
During my grandma’s childhood years she attended St. Thomas Aquanis, and was a bit of a class clown. Although my grandma was a class clown she had her share of tricks played on her. When I asked her to share some with me she told about the time that a kid pulled her chair out from her. Other kids called her Slippy for at least 2 weeks. My grandma also told me the story of when there was a school fight, and then my grandma said, ‘’ Tie him to the tetherball pole. After she said that there was a minute of silence, and everyone was staring at her. She told me those were two of her most embarrassing moments. During her childhood my grandma had many favorites. Her favorite games, and toys included checkers, paper dolls, riding her scooter. Her favorite pet was her dog Snowy. They were the best of friends until the fatal day when Snowy was hit by a car. My grandma’s parents tried new pets to cheer her up, but even though she loved the other pets none could replace her beloved Snowy. As a student during her childhood her favorite subject was gym. When I asked her why she replied,’’ Because, unlike most of the other classes we actually got to  talk.’’
As a teenager my grandma fell in love with Henry Keller. But, she didn’t know that he would soon be her husband. Babysitting is what my grandma did to earn a few bucks. She told me her least favorite part about babysitting was she had to change the diapers. For hobbies she enjoyed art, and sports. My grandma bowled, and played soccer. During her teenage years my grandma had three best friends. She, and her friends would always find the spare time to visit each other.
When my grandma turned 18 years old she married her teenage romancer. Within her adult life my grandma had three job occupations. Her last job was L P N. My grandma retired in 1995, and has been married for 48 years. In one period of time she did live in Harford County, Maryland. But she has spent most of her life in Baltimore County, Maryland. My Grandma had four children three of them live in Maryland, and one lives in New York. When I asked for one of her last vacations she told me about her trip to Bermuda. She told me that she was so frantic she couldn’t help not screaming when they were crossing ‘’ The Bermuda Triangle.’’
During the past eleven years that I’ve known my grandma I have a few memories that I would like to share with you. My most memorable memory would be when she was carrying my Parent’s Anniversary cake, and when she was right in the middle of her Anniversary song she dropped the cake. Another memory that I have about my Grandma is the time that we were looking for my cousin who was lost at the time, and when my Grandma saw him she jumped out of her wheelchair, and chased him down. My last, and final memory about my Grandma is that she loves everyone in her family, even her son in laws.
When I asked my grandma for a final quote she said, "If you put your mind to it you can do anything."
