What are the geographic features of my city?


 



Goal:

At the end of this activity, you will have: At the end of this activity, your team will have a diagram that describes the all the geographic features (physical characteristics) of your city. Roles: For this activity, you will take one of these roles: Geographer (Expert on landforms): Your job is to find out what (if any) landforms are in or around your city.

Geographer (Expert on waterways): Your job is to find out what (if any) waterways are in or around your city.

Agricultural expert on soil: Your job is to find out what type of soil is there in your city.

Agricultural expert on vegetation: Your job is to find out what major types of vegetation can grow in or around your city.

Meteorologist (Expert on climate): Your job is to find out what the climate is like in your city.

Steps:
  1. Visit the What are the geographic features of my city? link(s) pertaining to your job.
  2. Decide what kind of map(s) to create.
  3. Save and print the map(s) to show the geographic features (physical characteristics) of your city.
  4. Complete your part of the this diagram.
