This is a crab

When the European explorers first investigated the Chesapeake Bay, sea life was abundant. There were so many oysters you could see them on the bottom through the water because they filtered the water so clear. The amount of sea life seems to be declining. In 1997 there were 58 million pounds of crabs harvested from the Chesapeake Bay. The amount of crabs taken from the Bay in 1999 is down to about 25 million pounds.

Why is the Chesapeake Bay in trouble?

What can we do to help the Bay become a more healthy place?
