Project Summary: The staff at West Meade need to be fully instructed in the creation of Kid Pix slide shows, both with the students and as a tool if they want to use it. |

Objectives/Desired Results (What will the learners understand as a result of this project?)The staff will understand, be comfortable with and be able to use Kid Pix slide shows with their classes. The students will write to inform by creating a Kid Pix slide show with teacher support. |

The following rubric is an example that can be used by the teachers to evaluate their student’s slide show or they may create their own. 3 The main idea/ key statement is clearly stated. Each additional slide contains 2 or 3 relevant facts and /or data on their endangered animal. Must mention why the animal is endangered and how people affect this animal. Illustrations are related to the data. All slides are correctly transitioned, with sounds and correct timing. 2 The main idea is somewhat clear but could be improved. Slides contain 1 or 2 relevant facts about their endangered animal. Most slides have illustrations and transitions, with sound and timing. 1 The main idea is not clearly stated. Facts are not relevant or are unclear. Illustrations are not clear or don’t fit facts. Slides are not transitioned and/or too few slides for show.
