Now
that you are experienced in the Dewey Decimal System, you are ready
to complete your assigned project!
Use MS PowerPoint
to create a twelve to fifteen slide story explaining the logic behind
the Dewey Decimal System of Library Classification.
Start with the 100's
and save the 000's (Generalities) for last. This will help you to
explain the pattern Mr. Dewey used to classify human knowledge.
Be creative! Use
animation, slide transitions and other effects (sound, animated graphics
or video clips) as needed, to tell your version of the Dewey story.
You should cut and
paste images from the Internet to add interest to your story. You
may also use a digital camera or scanner to create pctures for your
presentation.
You should refer back
to the resources, or the Dewey
and the Alien example if you need further assistance.
Use the included
rubric
to self-evaluate your presentation before saving it for the teacher's
evaluation. You should print the rubric and close its window to return
to this screen.
