Harry Houdini
Harry Houdini came to America as an Italian immigrant with absolutely nothing. Like most immigrants he tried to make a living by work in factories and such, but he soon realized that the reason why so many individuals become wealthy. They all had a gimmick, or eye catcher that could easily get an audience. He figured that perhaps his ability to pick and free himself from handcuffs might be a good show piece. His hypothesis was correct and very successful. Due to this success people began to realize that the more unique a gift or talent is, the more valuable it is to the public.
