Jackie Robinson

Jackie Robinson, as many Americans know, was the first African American ball player to ever be accepted to play in the major leagues. This was a huge upset in athletic sports during the time period, because segregation was still in action. Due to his bravery and immense ability, Jackie Robinson managed to rise above the standards of the era, and clear a path of success for all minorities alike.
