You are the "overseer" of the work to be completed on this assignment. In this position, it is critical that you work diplomatically with the rest of your staff in order to create the best possible paper.
1. You will be writing and creating with the rest of the staff but have the additional responsibility of seeing the "bigger picture." What is the overall vision/message behind the newspaper that you're creating? Do all of the articles fit together? Does the advertising fit with the ideas voiced in the articles?
2. Assist the staff with determining who will contribute which articles/ads/etc. A story list will be due to Ms. Kajder at the close of the first day of work on this paper. You are responsible for completing and submiting that list.
3. Proofread everything that will be put into the final product after both the research editor and layout editor have seen the text.
