TASK:

Your job is to create a copy of  The Maycomb Tribune, a newspaper depiciting the life and
times of those who lived in the fictitious town of Maycomb, Alabama in the 1930's.

                        1. You have been assigned a team with which you will work on this task. Remember that all of
the members of the team will be responsible for writing and creating components of the paper,
regardless of their "title." The other details follow below. All students, regardless of their role,
will be scored using the same rubric. The roles simply allow you to develop a more effective
Maycomb Tribune. Click on a role to view its description:

                      2. Your version of the Maycomb Tribune  must have the following required components:

2 News Stories
1 Feature Story (articles based on the events occuring in Maycomb)
1 Editorial
1 Resident Interview

                    3. Your version of the The Maycomb Tribune must include at least two other articles. You
may use one of the following suggestions or may use them as a "springboard" into another idea.
There some flexibility here. The key is to accurately use the sources and historical information.

Style
Entertainment
Columns (humor, advice, etc.)
Food
Travel
"In the Area" [articles on the events occuring in neighboring towns (i.e., )]
Ads (NOTE:  2 ads count as one article!)

                    4. In order to have a reporter's sense of Maycomb and its people, you must research those
aspects which made up daily life. Click on the button below and explore the links  in order to
establish that base.  Taking notes can only help you!

                    5. After writing the articles and laying out the paper, you will be required to submit it on the
                    assigned date.
