Objectives:

1. Synthesize content from multiple disciplines in order to make connections, see patterns, and formulate principles and generalizations. [4.1.2]
2. Identify the different ways of representing knowledge through discourse structures and patterns appropriate to the discipline.  [4.1.1]
3. Reflect upon the creative elements and forms and respond in a critical manner.  [1.3.2]
4. Write and speak to inform, narrate, and express personal ideas.  [2.1.2]
5. Identify specific textual evidence from primary sources to support a personal response to a text, to organize information, or to complete a task.  [3.3.2]
6. Examine how the author's purpose affects his/her choice of structural elements, such as point of view, setting, or character.  [3.4.3]

This webquest was designed by Sara Kajder to supplement the 11th grade "Patterns" unit within the Montgomery County Public School English curriculum.  Ms. Kajder currently teaches ninth grade English, eleventh grade English, and Journalism at James H. Blake HIgh School.
