The
task of the technicians group will be to do the actual creation of the
school website with the advice and recommendations of the Survey and Research
teams.
What
you need to do:
1. Use Netscape Communicator Composer to create the website.
2. Use the checklist of specific tasks to help you get started.
3. Use the Design Helps page and the tutorials in the Research section to help you as you design the website.
4. Remember to use the advice and recommendations of the Survey and Research teams as you work.
5. It's important to always keep in mind the audience you are writing for.
6. Employ an editor! Your English teacher would be a good choice. The fastest way to lose your audience is to have spelling and typing mistakes in your website. After you have checked your document for mistakes, ask your English teacher to check your work for grammatical errors. There are already too many documents on the Internet with mistakes. Please don't add another one!
7.
You will be using the same evaluation rubric that was used to evaluate
the existing websites to evaluate your website.
Graphics Hints:
* Make
sure all the graphics you use are relevant and necessary to convey your
message.
* Limit
the size of your graphics. Graphics can take a long time to load and can
make
your website slow to load.
* Limit the number of graphics on a page.
