Areas of Earth Science
Oceanography- The water part of the earth... both fresh and salt. This includes the composition (what is in the water), sea life, and the structure of the ocean floor.
Geology- The solid part of the earth. The scientific study of the history and structure of the earth. What makes up the earth.
Meteorology-The gaseous part of the earth. The scientific study of the earth’s atmosphere, especially weather conditions.
Astronomy-
The scientific study of the universe beyond the earth’s atmosphere.
Includes the planets, the sun, the stars and the moon
