Edit the Template
Go to the Template Page
1. On the main menu bar click on edit.                       
2. Click on Select All.
3. Click on Edit then Copy.
Save as HTML
Saving Your Word Document
1. On the main menu bar click on file.
2. Click on Save as HTML
3. Name the document and save it to your floppy.

 
Opening the HTML Document
Stop!!!!! Wait!!!
When Opening a Word Document saved as HTML......
1. You can not go to the drive you saved it on and click on it...... 
2. You must first open Word.. and then go to File on the main menu bar and click on Open.
3. Browse to find where you file is.. and click on Open.
4. You can now continue working on your file.
5. Next time you save, it will automatically save as HTML.
You do not have to save as HTML. You can edit the 
document now without saving as a regular word file.

 
Internal Links (Links within a Page)
Insert a Bookmark... Where do you want to end up?
1. Click on or in front of the word that you want the Link to go to.
2. On the main menu bar, Click on Insert and then click on "Bookmark."
3. Name your bookmark. Click on Add.
Insert your link...
(the word "link" above is linked to the word "bookmark" above.)
1.  Go to the word or phrase where you want the link.
2. Highlight the word or phrase.
3. On the main menu bar click on Insert. Click on Hyperlink.
4. Under "Name location" in file, click on the browse button.
5. In the bookmark window, select the bookmark that you
 want to link to.  Click OK. Click OK.
  • You now have an internal link!
Links to the Web
Inserting a Hyperlink to a Web Page
1. Go to the word or phrase where  you want the link. 
2. Highlight the word or phrase.
3. On the main menu bar click on Insert. Click on Hyperlink
4. Go to Web Page that you want to link to.
5.  Click and highlight the address of the web page.
6.  Copy the address. (Edit.. Copy)
7. Click the button on the task bar and reopen your word document.
8. Click in the box under "Link to file or URL"
9. In order to paste the URL, you need to hold down the  Cntl  key and hit the letter "V" at the same time.
  • You now have an external link!
