What are your odds?  How many people are you running against?

Voters should chose someone who will follow through on his/her promises...keep this in mind as you write your speech.

Make sure that you are ready for the commitment and that you will put time into your office throughout the year.

Every good election campaign needs a good campaign manager!

Voters should choose someone whom they can trust, who is a hard worker, and has creative ideas.

Commit some time to running your campaign.

Remember that you might not win, even if you are the best person for the job!

Keep a positive attitude; even if you don't win this election, don't give up!  Run in other elections.
 

Find out the needs of your classmates!

What are their daily concerns?
What makes them angry?
What changes would they like to see made in the classroom and in the school?
Can a new way of doing things be introduced?
Are there groups or organizations that they would like to form?
Are there events that your classmates would like to see take place?
